Final year Master’s degree student studying Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London. Currently undertaking a research project looking into implementation of an EDGE processor architecture using conventional RISC processor cores which is being supervised by Dr. David Thomas.

Previously acted as an Engineer and Evangelist for the Raspberry Pi Foundation after becoming their first engineering employee in 2012. One of my primary engineering responsibilities at Raspberry Pi was leading the design and implementation of the New Out of Box Software which is currently the default software recommended for all users of the Raspberry Pi and ships on the official SD cards (see source on GitHub). To view some of the talks on Raspberry Pi that I’ve given at various worldwide conferences and events please see the links below. A good starting point is the talk that I gave at the Googleplex in Mountain View as part of the Google Tech Talks series.

Also involved with Imperial Entrepreneurs and the Imperial Create Lab student start-up incubator in an advisory role. Passionate about promoting student start-ups at Imperial and would love to hear from you if you’re a student working on an idea.

Prior to joining Raspberry Pi, I worked as an intern at Broadcom in Cambridge where I was involved in a number of projects, including helping to port Quake 3 to the Raspberry Pi platform (which is currently the most viewed Raspberry Pi clip on YouTube at nearly 1.5 million views).

Based in London, UK.
